once again in futile attempt to look like they are actually doing something and ensure re-election another assclown steps forward to propose something that has already been proven to backfire and fail.

Sales taxes are the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen. You already got taxed on the money you made the moment you got your check. You get taxed on the interest,dividends and inflation the whole time you hold the money and the moment you try to spend it you get taxed again on it. It makes no sense for citizens to vote for something like that and allow it. It gets voted in by these states by persuading the citizen to join them in the greed train. They tell them, hey look at all those out of state people that drive through our state and spend money. They're using our roads and costing you money while your property taxes go up to pay for it. People get greedy and think that they should be owed that money. Little do they know all it does is take money from themselves. Oregon has no sales tax and we have lower property taxes than most and our roads are awesome. Yet every 8 years some politicians jump in trying to convince everyone that we live horribly buried in taxes and the only way out is to add a sales tax.
 
I don't see the end goal here. Are they so stupid that they don't know that Internet based businesses can move, and live in any country in the world. All this will do is drive those businesses out of the U.S.
