Looking for recommendations on desktop programs that I can use to handle project notes, due dates, etc. Just something that I can add an item to, paste some details, add a due date, and can refer back to/be reminded of when it comes up.

Thanks :)

Outlook? Can add into your calendar, have reminders, invite other people, add notes. it's free (to some extent) as opposed to monthly subscriptions to web applications. However you cant access it from like..any computer. It'd obviously ahve to be your machine/phone with outlook set up.

I hate outlook, im trying to learn to love it. :-/

Wish it had more "project management" features, with task lists, progress bars, etc.

Microsoft exchange, and then it'll be on everything.

1. Excel document with the following categories,
Current // Hold (Current) // Ongoing // Long Term // Brainstorm // Done

2. Google Tasks integrated/sync'd in my android phone/gmail/win7 desktop for all the sub-tasks that get created as a result of what's in the excel document.

Everything else is just a distraction.
