Wasn't sure where to post this.

But you used to be able to make a brand or website page without associating it with a personal FB account.

This appeals to me because the account can be included with the future sale of the website, making it more attractive for buyers especially if your business model relies on social media marketing.

Now FB is asking me to log in to make any a brand page. What do they expect me to do when I sell a property? =(

ughh

Should be in the newb section

Brand pages works as a normal Fanpage. Use your personal account and create a page and choose brand/services. Youll have your business brand page connected to your personal account as a sole admin of the fanpage.

In the future if your planning on selling it just add the new owner of the page as a new admin of the page

You've always had to associate any kind of page with an account.

That's not 100% true, there was a work around for this a couple of years ago and anyone could make advertising accounts with no personal account as well. They've closed that loop hole though unfortunately.

How do you log in to facebook without an account there?

You technically logged in through the advertising portal. You could goto fxxbook.com/advertising and just create an advertising account. From there you could create a fanpage. But there wasn't a personal profile attached to it.
