Did Google leak Adwords account e-mail addresses?

I just received four spam messages pimping PPC services to four distinct e-mail addresses that aren't listed anywhere, but only used for Adwords accounts.

Anybody else seeing this?

Hmm that is odd. Are you saying the emails are all from the same company, or 4 different companies?

Four e-mail addresses of the form:

adwords-abc@mydomain.com
adwords-etc@mydomain.com
adwords-xyz@mydomain.com
adwords-fdw@mydomain.com

Never used anywhere else but as login for accounts. Never published anywhere.

The spam message sent to those four addresses in the same mail drop (within minutes) from the same company with the same pitch.

Out of 48 Adwords accounts I have, I only received spam to four addresses. So they aren't mailing to the entire user list. But still, it's really weird.

Either Google sold the addresses (which I doubt), or there is a leak.

Incidentally, I haven't used those four accounts in a long time. And I never used those addresses anywhere else. The only place I have those addresses mentioned is my password vault on my laptop.

Could be bulk mailing to random addresses with adwords in them, hoping one sticks?

I got a viagra email to a hotmail account I set up yesterday, which I haven't published/sent from/shared anywhere.

Does no one here read or watch the news?
What does a phishing attempt have to do with what I'm describing?

Even if I were dumb enough to fall for it, I don't enter those specific e-mail addresses anywhere. I use one main MCC account with a different e-mail address.

It's from adware/spyware/virus/whateveryouwanttocallit. Some of those little pieces of shit collect email addresses from your inbox, and send them back home. How do I know?

Ran windows, without outlook - emails would show up in spam lists roughly two months after they were 'created'.

Swtched to linux and evolution - haven't had an email address leaked since aweber and copeac being hacked.

I've been using Linux since 2001. Don't use non-standard software. Only from official repositories. So it's not likely spyware.

Also, the addresses that received spam never been used for anything. Not even for logging in. I log in through MCC. So I only typed them once, while creating those accounts, many years ago.

Really weird shit.
