A 14 year old friend of mine just wrote this on my wall:

hey, check this out! you know smoking bud? well there is this site http://www.oqjh.info that sells super potent legal bud, yes legal herbal bud for sale online, it doesn't show up in drug tests or anything either, i started selling this stuff too and am making a killing, they ship it to you discreetly and it's 100 percent money back guaranteed, this is the site http://www.oqjh.info it's not illegal, but hurry up before they ban it in the states.

and his status was just changed to this:

Buy some legal bud from BUD HOOK UP today!

lol this guy is not into smoking, drinking or even swearing, so something h@x0r3d him.

Anyone know how I can get a hold of this software to spam the shit out of some work from home offers?

There must be a few things going around like this on Facebook. Someone from my friends list wrote something to the effect of "It's here - smoke" on my wall a couple weeks ago. Not sure if the two are related?

Well, one of my contact sent me a link for penis enlargement pills - or so the message said (I didn't check it out, you know, I don't need that stuff:D)
And I don't think she's that kind of girl.
Another friend received the same message from another contact.
I guess there is some not-so-1337 h4x0r at work.

I got a lot of spams on my wall a few weeks back on Facebook... I don't think they're getting paid by their network after that stunt.

These legal-bud sites have affiliate programs, so it's prob just newbs manually posting to make money. What better place to market weed (alternatives) to than Facebook?

They aren't illegal, but they don't do anything either.

By a couple weeks ago.. Do you mean 4-20?

& yeah your friend's account got phished.. Tell him/her change their password & stop being a link clicking idiot

I've been looking into this one as well, since a few of my friends started whining about it (just another reason I don't use FaceBook anymore)

It would seem that a LOT of the FB apps can be used to trojan/phish your account with a bit of modding to the SDK.
This in turns allows some of the slicker operators get a list of accounts going, and then let some automated stuff take over the rest of the dirty work.

As for the bud side of things. You'd have to be an idiot to believe that there's a legal high left that doesn't require a prescription. Most of those are just herbal smokes that you can use in place of tobacco.
As a smoker, I'll say that some of them are quite nice, particularly the blueberry ones (you REALLY can taste it) but the only high you get is that same from oxygen dep and the mild brain cell death you get from drinking too much anyway.
THC? ?They don't got none, brudda...

I saw that exact same ad a couple days ago on a friend's wall. This looks to be a pretty large-scale spam campaign. oqjh.info iframes to an affiliate link

They target social networks. If you have a MySpace and have been to a not so smart friend's profile, you've probably seen the "Bud" images as comments. Yes, they phish accounts just like the few people who did the whole Ringtone scheme a few months ago. Phishing isn't hard, it just takes a script and a host.
