Well it does help. I forget that I even made money with some networks and get a 1099. And im like oh fuck didn't even think about them.

Don't get your hopes up about a 1099 from a Canadian company. I don't think they're required to send them out.

For most banks you can access your transactions for the past 12 months online if you've forgotten where money has come from/gone to. That should help.

The IRS guidelines suggest (PDF) (page 17) 1099-MISCs must be available to recipients (us) by January 31.

Then you need to organize yourself better.

Print out all receipts and invoices, keep them in a folder in case you don't get a 1099.

We only 1099 individuals who make over $600 in the year. All 1099's were sent out before JAn 31st. If you get paid as an individual, made over $600, you should get in contact with us and ensure we have your current address on file if you havent gotten a 1099 yet.
