Difference in Seo keyword research numbers

I just got the trial of Long tail Pro and am testing it against what numbers I get from Google adwords.

They are different.

LTP tells me keyword A gives 590 local searches
Google adwords tells me keyword A gets 10 local searches

I've noticed a difference on a whole bunch of keywords as well.
Im sure that I am comparing apples with apples so to speak

Is there a difference in the numbers that different programs give?

Hi,
Try to set the type searches to Exact in the Google Adwords Tool and see if it gives you the same results.
I am sure that LTP and other tools get their Data from Google Tool.

i would have thought they all got the numbers from Google.

I played around a little with broad and exact match on both and i can't get them to line up.

I can't even get the CPC to line up on the same keyword term.
 
actually i think its got to do with the new keyword tool vs the old keyword tool.

Anyone had an issue with this?
