I'm looking to go direct with an advertiser. I just got off the phone with the woman responsible for their affiliate program. They want to see my landing pages. I explained that I use paid traffic and that there is sensitivity around keywords and landing pages

They are focused on "protecting their brand". From my conversation with them, my sense is that most of their other affiliates are using content sites with organic / SEO traffic.

I've already showed them one of my generic domains, but they want to know where their ads will be placed. How have you guys dealt with this?

Thanks.

btw - I'd be happy to run this through a network, even at a lower payout, but the advertiser manages their program in house.

or show him and have him sign a non disclose.

At the end of the day you can hide it as well as you want. If they want to see the page, and are savvy enough, they will find it.

try 'cloaked other decent looking option' that is compliant for $200 alex!

cloak this around their HQ on a slightly different domain or subdomain (ie subdomaincloaked.yourmaindomain.com versus subdomainrealpromotion.yourmaindomain.com)

win/win- they' don't get to steal the results of your testing to know that red buttons convert better, but are assured that you really have a tangible page. you could run into issues if disclosing EVERY page to them is in the agreement, if not and they ever catch you explain you're constantly optimizing.

done and done

We all know that the last 4 years have produced more FTC targeted marketing techniques than ever before... and half of them have been due to affiliate landing pages. There's nothing wrong with what they are asking.

But look at it this way, are you going to use 1 landing page for the next year?

No, of course you are not. You will probably rotate through multiples a week.

So show them one or two to get the partnership started with a little trust and build it from there.
