do I need a privacy policy statement?

I run google analytics on my site but not adsense and I don't have any ads or monetization yet. Is any type ofbprivacy policy needed at all? I assumed not but didn't wanma get smacked by google if they manually review my site amd decide It needs one. Basically.. what are the criteria for needing a privacy policy?

There are a bunch of privacy policy generator sites you can use.

No need for now, but you might need it if something comes up. Don't overthink it bud, just set it now and the forget it in the future.

I always make this as one of my founding pages cause its just generated then copy, paste, edit a few for the next 15 minutes and you can leave it there, with no hassles and nothing to overthink and worry about.

As an internet user, I will tell you to just rip it off someone elses page and heavily modify it to suit your needs. An internet lawyer would tell you thats a horrible idea.

That being said, I know a great internet lawyer if you need one.

It is a good idea. I put it on everything.

Lots of retargeting companies require it to get approved.

I just use one of the generators. Never had a problem.

Personally I also make sure I have a "Terms" page. Usually also have a page that is clearly "About Us".
