Do Links still work?

I was reading an article on blue hats site and he had an excel spread sheet of links that you should subscribe.

problem is, subscribing to links is tedious and time consuming, but is it worth it?

because i don't want to spend hours doing something that will have very little impact on my sites.

Well, since you're a fan of BlueHatSEO then you've likely already used the PingCrawl plugin he has posted on his site. That will help on new blogs/sites you're trying to get indexed/ranked.
