Where in the world/country/state I mean, not from what traffic source. I ask this because I am considering doing an offline campaign for a dating site of mine, and I know it would look suspicious if all the leads came from the same area and were all from direct traffic (it would look like I was just going to all my friends' houses and signing up with fake shit).

So do they really care? I'd ask my AM at a4d but he's rarely on when I am.

Thanks

when I do offline promotion, I check with my AM first, since some of the promotions will produce geographically-clustered traffic & leads.

It's usually fine if you let them know and explain to them why you're promoting offline -- some won't even understand why you would do so if you don't explain it to them.

Some check, but it shouldn't matter unless it doesn't back out for the advertiser. It doesn't seem like a shady method though. Offline marketing is awesome. Check in with some one else at A4D if he's not avail.

doubt it, you were geotargeting which would make sense for offers that work well in lower income cities and states.

Yes, networks check for that. Too many leads from the same IP block is bound to trip fraud flags and possibly get your account terminated automatically.

If you are planning on doing offline targetting, or you are planning on doing very targetted on-line targetting, I'd suggest you have a chat with your AM first as sinewave has suggested. That way the network knows what you are doing and your account will not be flagged.

Networks flag this stuff automatically because for every 1 person sending a bunch of leads from the same IP block legitimately, there are 20+ doing it fraudulently.
