Do you go out of your way to avoid clicking on affiliate links?

I find myself actively avoiding clicking on affiliate links if the site or person didn't warrant credit for the sale, or likewise will go out of my way to click on an affiliate link of someone who I felt actually helped/contributed to the sale.

Basically i don't leave it to chance - last click credit. I am going to click on the link i want to to make sure the person i want gets credit.

EDIT::: FUUUUUUU "consciously"

Fwiw I only click affiliate links when I'm getting cash/something back else I just goto the URLs directly.

I'm quite happy to use affiliate links if it's something I want to purchase because it doesn't cost me anything extra to do so. Everyone involved in the transaction benefits and it's good to support the industry.

I use to avoid doing it, my thinking was that the person didn't deserve it and I didn't want to support affiliate marketers but honestly, it was just sour grapes because I wasn't doing so well online at the time.

Opposite for me, as long as it's something useful and not spam. For example I recently upgraded my system and used this site: Computer Part Selection For DIY PC Builders - PCPartPicker which lets you pick out all the parts, shows you which parts are compatible with the others, and gives you the prices from multiple sites. I thought it was very useful so I cleared my cache and made sure to buy everything through their links.

....Im not into affiliate marketing so I cant properly address this question. However, I do click the shit out of my competitors adwords ads to run up their bill.. THose bastards, im a hater - but what of it?
