Say at one point you were testing an Ad on FB and it was almost profitable, but you moved on. Or say you had a campaign and it was profitable but then you got capped or the offer ran out.

Do you keep those ads on FB for reference or do you delete them right away?

the only reason i can see it mattering is if you wanted to reference an old ad for something you did.. maybe you got a high ctr and you wanted to see your wording or your picture. . or your targeting

fuckin ad manager is cluttered as fuck right now and i can't make up my mind about deletin the shit, id hate to get em all approved again

i was just wonderin what other ppl did

I usually try to keep mine for reference, in case I decide to go back to the niche. I only delete them when I need more room in the account for new ads.

I delete

I delete. My ad manager does not have a single 'paused' or 'deleted' ad.

so you let your ads run 24/7?

I've been trying to figure out the issue with why impressions are great some days and other days (like today) I can't get shit. I've tried:

  • cpc vs. cpm
  • pausing vs. lowering cpc/cpm
  • variable cpc/cpm
  • new campaigns vs seasoned campaigns
  • different demos and verticals
I can't seem to figure out what causes ads to get high impressions and hardly nothing on other days, even with ads that are in the 0.2% CTR range. Only other thing I can think of is banner inventory that they have running on certain days for certain demos that could take away from everyone's impression potential. Or maybe my account is just fucked.

I don't understand how some of you guys are spending $30k a day. That would be great, but I can't seem to do more than $3k a day. Unless you just have a shit ton of ads/markets/demos.

You can't seriously not have a copy of each ad you have tested??? right. excel ss, screen shot, have a 4 year right/draw it out in crayon...something.

then delete.

i keep ads that are close to profitable... say -25% ROI etc.

then if the payout increases or i find another similar offer
i can test it immediately... just switch out the links in prosper and unpause.

i keep old and paused, approved ads that are gray areas with regard to editorial guidelines (rebills, dating, etc.).
