This thought's been bouncing around in my head for awhile now..

I'm sure you've seen the emails, blog comments and general spam on forums that has a ton of links in it, scattered throughout thrown together paragraphs of text, that link to either a porn or a online pharmacy (viagra, etc) site.

I realize there are many different blogs out there with moderation turned off, that have basically turned into link farms. As far as I can tell, it seems like they do this in order to try to get a quick ranking on Google. (This may just be some BH technique I'm not aware of.. But I can't see how it would be even remotely profitable.. and if it is, for how long..)

So I guess my overall question is.. do you know anyone that makes any decent cash from using these tactics?

I just can't see how the revenue model would work out and why enough traffic would get pushed to the page. I'd never order something from one of those shitty pharm sites, even if it is a couple bucks..

I used to 'cause I got past editorial review for a while at a traffic source but since they found my ads, I've been just living off repeat business. I'm kind of stumped at how to get new customers for it, to be perfectly honest. :(

You spam links in order to get ranked for just a few days, if you can do this consistently and over a range of keywords you can make fat cash.

Most people in online pharms (that are doing it the right way) are rolling around in dough. Spamming comments links is only half the battle.

When I was flying back from Affilicon (tel aviv) some guy at the airport had an online pharmacy site (seo) and ranked high for it. He said they do 1-3m/yr profit

this reminds me of DP :|

is this a serious question brah?

"I see the blogs online promoting weight loss, and it's almost always a single mom who lost a ton of weight. usually they use these banners showing before and after pics and they advertise on sites like facebook, or through the google content network. Are these people actually making money?? I don't see how it's profitable. Maybe if you can convince me that it is I'll look into it some more and get it into myself."

Do people make money doing this? If they didn't, they would be doing something else.

Iif you have a GOOD reliable company you are working with who is honest about re-orders and etc, you can make good money. I would personally stay away from any International programs and stick with domestic ones.

If your an American you will not want to have controlled meds (ie xanax) even listed on your site, because they can arrest you for it. It's a new law that came out earlier this year.... Obviously if you have a good ranking in google for a few niche pharm keywords you will BANK.

Yes, I know someone very intimately who makes money from online pharmacy shit.

What are the laws in America regarding marketing Canadian affiliate programs? Informational sites about health issues with affiliate links are illegal?

It seems there is money to be made marketing pharm but I don't see much about it here. Either everyone is too scared to touch the shit or the ones that are are banking so hard they don't want competition.

Grover makes mad bank online within the online pharma space. Hit him up on skype, he'll hook you up. He's got all the pharms on the low-low, ya dig?

So these pharm guys are basically trying to nail the top Google spot for Viagra or Extenze or Penis Enlargement for just a day or so to capitalize on the SE traffic? And then it's gone and they start on the next domain doing the same thing.

That shit makes me tired just thinking about the work they put in for a day's worth of traffic. I guess if you can make half a million in a few days it's worth it.

I'm sure you except this answer but, common, I can't give you less:

No. No one has ever made money with black hat SEO promoting online pharmacy. It doesn't happen. All those links you see? Just kids playing around. :moon:
