I have been trying to make my advertising more efficient.
In july when I first started for every 5 cent spent on advertising (facebook) I made 1 dollar
This then slowly increased until it went to about 35c per dollar last month.
I know terrible right?
(still trying to find the cause!)
And I got it down again to about 20 cents now.

I have several products.
I noticed that every 4,5 days one product would sell exceptionally well compared to the others.
All budgets are the same to begin with.

Now I have been trimming the ads of the others when this happens and increase the budget for this particular one.
It worked well some of the times,
when I increased the budget 5 times and I got 10 times more sales.

At other times it's just flat or even slightly worse (more than 22 cents a dollar).

I am not sure, since the ads are social it could be that people just share it and I spend more money on advertising for nothing.

Does anyone do that too?
Change ads this frequently (almost every 48 hours) according to customer behaviour?
Is it a bad idea?

Reason why at the same time I trim the other ads, is that I notice the cpc goes down significantly when I don't compete with myself.
