does google adwords automatically filter out keywords that are irrelevant?

I have a list of thousands of keywords and can't go through all of them to see if they are irrelevant, they were created from keyword elite. I'm see many that are irrelevant, if I upload all of them will google adwords remove the irrelevant keywords? That's what overture/yahoo does. So, I'm hoping they do the same thing.
