Screw the cash, that list of 27,000 poker players is worth at least 2x what they seized. Sure wouldn't mind getting my mits on that database.
 
Hey, don't question the government. They're just protecting you from those evil poker players.
 
You think this is bad? At least the poker players might have been involved in some violation of interstate commerce, etc. There's a chance.

However, if you happen to carry around more than $10K in cash - and in many cases less - the government case seize it and keep it since it's "drug related". It doesn't matter if you're a little old lady with your life savings. They have done this, are doing it, and are still doing it. Google it and see. It's beyond ridiculous.

This is a power play about money. The Government HATES THE FACT THAT THEY CANT TAX THIS MONEY.

I can get into my car and drive 30 minutes to at least 5 legal poker rooms in Los Angeles, but I can't turn on my fucking computer and type in Pokerstars.com?

Our government is spending our tax dollars to try and steal peoples money because they havent figured out how to tax the internet.

Fuck them. Prohibition never worked and it never will. People will be playing online poker again in a few days or weeks and new processors will be created that the government can't seize.

This is craziness. We live in the 21st century and our government is becoming more socialist and totalitarian every day. And I've voted Democrat more than Republican, so this "lefty" thinks they can suck a big fat one.

My mother plays on Pokerstars for real money, or she used to. Good thing the government shut her down, there's no telling what she was really up to. I mean, middle-aged nurses can't be trusted around computers these days... they might be terrorists.
 
You know Bush was an asshat who tried to take away our civil liberties with the Patroit Act. Now we have a democrat who hasn't done a damn thing to leave us alone.

I've seen more government intervention in commerce and business in the last 6 months as I've seen in my lifetime (36 years).

I'm sick of the Big Brother. Let it rest all ready. Leave us the fuck alone.
