Ok, so I got a stupid fuckin question.

Is it important or is there any reason, to use different domains for each campaign or niche? I am not talking about building organic search and links and all that jazz, just plain PPC traffic.

Does it make sense to use just a few domains and just make landing pages on different directories?

The domain name can have a lot to do with your CTR, and a higher CTR = higher QS and lower bids (in Google). And if you piss Google off enough with 1 domain, that can effect the QS but some people will disagree.

The URL also can affect SEO results, right? I've got a keyword based url that's doing very well with little effort.

Thanks for the replies.

Basically I am using subdirectories to test new campaigns before I actually spend the time and money to buy a domain for them. I sometimes think that running on the subdirectories is part of the reason they are not successful but damned if I'm gonna buy and setup a new domain for each new product I test...

Well, 7$ isn't really much to spend when you can be making 700$ back in a day from the campaign. If you're short on money, I guess you could buy a generic domain and use subdomains, but I've found that actual domains give a higher ctr and that'll probably end up saving you at least 7$ due to the lower click costs, if not get you higher conversions.

One thing to remember is that being cheap in this game might hurt you more in the long run than you realize.

Having a unique domain name for each offer you promote with the keyword in the URL itself will make a huge difference for CTR and hopefully QS.

It is highly debated whether having dashes in the domain hurts you or not, and my personal opinion is that for PPC it doesn't matter. My-Acai-Blog.com is just as good as MyAcaiBlog.com for PPC. If you are trying to get organic traffic through SEO, then I would avoid the dashes, because people will forget to type them in and go to your competition's site instead.
