Downloadable Ram!



It was taking me too long to download the 4GB, so I started with a 1GB module. Things are much faster now!

I think I'll go for the 4GB now that my system can handle it.

what kind of a joke is this man?
Fallen for it. I thought it will boost my Ram "virtually" but this us completely insane.. you download the physical RAM??

Yeah, bro, it's the physical RAM. If you are having trouble downloading it, your board might not have an empty slot for it. You need 4 slots free for the 4GB.
 
I've got two empty dimm slots. Do I must to download them in pairs, like 2 GB 2 GB, or can I dl 4 GB, and 1 GB (so i can download more later if i need to)? please advice
 
I'd definitely go with the 2 + 2 as dual channel is better. You can always download 4 + 4 in future.
