With Ebay pulling their ads off of google...what if...we started getting paid per click along with commissions with auction ads.

That would rock. CTR on my auction ads are insane compared to adsense and on a lot of niches I would even take 5cents a click and still kick adsenses ass. Plus commision.

That would give adsense a run for their money.

Wouldn't be very cost effective for ebay to pay you per click.

I wonder how the arbitrage would work between amazon's clickriver and ebay though.

Why wouldn't it? They were paying google a butt load through adwords.

they dont give adwords commision

I'm sure they could have a set cpc no matter the target + commission and still spend less. Kind of like how a waiter gets paid, shit hourly wage but made up through commissions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't some territories already get paid per click through ebays affiliate program.

Bro, the reason you make more per click on your sites is because your traffic isnt worth what adsense pays per click.. to ebay. If its not converting into sales then its pissing money away.

Contextual Targeting is MUCH different than search targeting. And ad for Asian Antiques on an antique site is much less targeted than an add on google for the search asian antique.

If anything they would offer AuctionAds a premium commission structure. Still on a CPA basis.
