Instead of writing an ebook and marketing it, what does everybody think about simply buying ebooks, changing some of the content, then posting it free in hopes of having strong organic content? Of course you could monetize by being at the top of google searches, but would this be more profitable than pushing your ebook by traditional online advertising?

Probably not a good idea; what you are proposing goes a bit like this:

It would be more beneficial and less time-consuming if you were to just write the stuff yourself.

You can get free PLR ebooks from Private Label Rights ebooks. I took two books and tweaked them to become one,then sold it.
