Yes, the conference is prob an overpriced hype fest. Yes, shoe$ is using his popularity to build it into guru status. Yes, he's gonna make bank from it. Yes, you'd get better results out of the money with what I suggested above.

They should have a deal where you set up a bank account there then you set up all your necessary places to deposit at that bank account so Shoe and all the other guys can monitor your success.

why should they offer a refund, how do they know said person did everything they told them too and didn't slack off?
I guess you don't know the industry too well, I know tons of people that buy sites/domains/traffic/all kinds of shit and never do anything with them because they are lazy.
