I am looking for an emailing company (like aweber, constant contact, etc) that allows you to import purchased lists and would be good for mailings of under 100k. Anybody know of one?

Thanks, Matt

But if the emails get flagged as spam, wouldn't he still have trouble?
depends on your site and networking skills. You can get them white listed with hotmail, yahoo etc.

Cecilia, thanks, but I contacted them and they have a 5 million mailings per month minimum. I don't want to do the mailing on my own because it is just too much of a potential hassle.

Damn that's good to know. I was about to buy an awebser subscription. Crap now I' m still "on the prowl". Have a database of about 20,000 subscribers and I want to get an e-mail out ASAP! Any other options?

checkout savicom.com should be good for what you are looking for.

I checkout out their policies page and they've got some weird rules too. Like this one:

Timeliness: Mailings must commence within 30 days of original signup.

WTF?

Anyone know of any other companies?

pretty much none of the large reputable companies will let you email with a purchased like that. you have to build it yourself with a double-opt in list.

if you do have a double opti-in list, mobilestorm.com is a good option.

with your purchased list, you'll have problems. none of the mailer companies want purchased lists because if they get too many complaints, the various ISPs and email providers will blacklist them.
