Great visuals though... Never would have imagined the battleground as glass-enclosed or the stars as so small.

Will venture to a theater for this one.

My all time favorite fiction book, I just hope they do it justice. From the looks of the trailer though it looks like a solid interpretation. And yea, I always pictured the battleground indoors as well, but the glass one looks sick!

Card said many times over the decades that the problem making this movie has always been that finding a kid that looks this young but acts like an oscar-winning adult is very hard to come across...

At one point he was willing to settle for Jake Llyod (young Darth Vader) and for a long time he wanted Haley Jo Osmet (Sixth Sense)... But neither cut it in tests.

I'm pretty impressed with this Asa kid. Looks like he's succeeded where no young actor has before.

My biggest fear is that the subtleties of the plot will be lost once it hits the big screen. The Asa kid has some big shoes to fill for this role as well.

Worries aside, I'm sure it will be worth the watch, AND the wait all these years.

I think in the Ender timeline the first invasion of the Buggers was in the 1970s or thereabouts.

Yes, I really hope they do Enders Shadow as well. Honestly, I thought Enders Shadow was the better book.

Oddly enough it looks almost exactly the way I pictured it. That's almost never happened before. Might actually drag myself out to see it. I need to read the book again first...
