EPN/Auction2Post Sites for Sale - and a story to boot

I've been in the Ebay Partner Network for 15 months or so - I joined right around the time they switched to their "Quality Click Pricing".

I never got a ton of traction - I was making about $200/mo and after some recent work backlinking, etc, I had a December of about $930 (and hit their bonus which would be 50% for that month. That was a one-time only deal so I do not include it in the above figure).

These sites are in the "used durable goods" niches so I doubt the Christmas season was the reason for the income bump - in fact, the sites were on track to do $700+ in January.

After that however I got booted. I have been appealing the case since 1/17 or so but they literally just don't listen. As far as I know I was fully compliant with their TOS and I was moving product for them - when I made $930 in December eBay's commission was $11,000. My EPC was over $1 for quite some time.

Consquently the sites are now useless. I have three that were the major earners and a few others. I suspect the domains are tainted and would need to be changed out to new ones. The niches are good though, and if someone wanted to buy the sites they could 301 the old domains to new sites.

Send me a message for more info and I'll explain further. I'm not looking for premium prices here...for obvious reasons...

And if you're in the EPN make sure it's not your only source of income - because it's just a matter of time until you are screwed.

You can appeal, but it takes 2-4 weeks for each reply. Generally it takes 2 months to get your account reinstated if you're vigilant.

You will not be paid for that duration if you continue to send traffic (I recommend you do, and state that in your appeal), no matter the outcome.

I wouldn't give up on it just yet. Were you running phpbay? If so, a couple of the members were successful in getting reinstated fairly quickly. You might want to pop into the forums over there and read up.

Hey I'd really like to talk to you about this.. I am in the EPN and also had a great December when compared to my other months.. and now your thread has me scared #*#&less!

I'm still a partner as of right now.. I'm kind of a new member so I can't send you a direct message...or I would

Sorry to point this out Sharksfan, but eBay may not allow those sites under another affiliate. You might be better off converting them to CJ/Amazon.

Yeah - I believe you are right.

However, using the sites as models one could make very similar sites. I've written these off as having very little direct value in and of themselves and I'll be disclosing that to everyone who inquires (1 so far).

PM Sent.

I think my problem was my huge jump (from some hard work I did doing backlink building, etc) which triggered some kind of review and they decided my quality cost them too much EPC :)

eBay’s “favorite” traffic source back then was also technically violating their own terms of service. Cloaking search engines via server-side redirects was the thing they loved the most. But again… they stated their terms of service acted more like a scapegoat they could point to when their partners (notably Google) would question them about it.
