Anyone else watch ESPN's 30 for 30 "Broke?"
Basically about high paid athletes going broke or declaring bankruptcy a few years after they retire. There are many crazy stories about the things they do once they get 5-6 figure checks.
I thought it was good. Although I like to believe that I know how to avoid being or going broke, learning from the mistakes of others helps reaffirm everything you might think twice about. Such as cutting off friends or family that leech, get rich quick schemes, "gold diggers", buying two-three-four of things you don't use often, etc.
Definitely had some good quotes as well, my personal favorite:
"Dude, I didn't hit the lottery, I worked for this money," - Bart Scott when referring to friends or family who think it came easy and a piece of the pie.
