Ethics of article re-writing?

I am in the process of interviewing a couple article/content/blog writers that I found via craigslist.

I will be explicitly instructing these writers to take existing articles, and re-write them to the point they are unique. Changing sentence order and structure, using synonyms, sometimes adding or omitting chunks of content.

But it's still basically just taking an existing work, and keeping the same overall ideas but just re-wording it.

Ethical? Unethical? Legal?

Its not illegal.

If you're taking a whitehat approach of building relationships in your vertical and trying to add value, then it's pretty unethical and it probably won't work very well.

If you're doing paid traffic arbitrage/viral clickbait, superficial news stories, niche site w/ PBN type stuff, then it doesn't really matter. Its not any more unethical than polluting the internet with more mindless garbage.

You are welcome to take our original content and rewrite it without attribution. We don't care because the very act of rewriting it will turn the copy to shiite and not worth anything.

Oh sure maybe you get the google views but the writing will lack authenticity and the traffic won't convert.

In our niche anyway.

Rewriting original articles is just bottom-feeding. I did that shit just starting out and now literally make 30x more money working with partners who produce high-quality original research.

Good luck bro.

I don't have a problem with rewriting articles. It's not unethical either in my view. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, just adjust it. Most blogposts are rehashes of others written in their own words.

However what I do is show them the article and say 'make it better'

Take a dump then look at your reflection in the toilet mirror of turds. Pretty much the same as what you're doing with your life

Rather than rewriting a single article, it's best to find 3-5 articles on the same topic. Then you can have your writers review the resource material and have them create something entirely new in their own words...while still conveying the same information.

If you want to go further with this... take the time to dig into all the outbound links from your 5 source articles and see if they lead to any solid primary sources of data. If you find any, give the list to your writers so they can cite any important data / stats.

I used to do this for a few sites. They'd give me a few keywords and specify to only use Google News. Same batches of kws every few days. Every so often you could see one site blatantly make something up, and then five or six other sites would copy portions of it. Funny to see in real time after reading about it. Also some what interesting to watch.

Lol @ asking for advice about ethics on WF

You retarded fucking pole-smoker.

Even with all the changes here, it's good to see there are still victims willing to offer their assholes up for the taking.

Good luck bro

I think that it is ethical if you mention the original creator of the post somewhere. However, at the same time, nothing is completely new and original in this world, so do as you wish
