Yeah then to top it all off, I figured I could go to China and sell Crabs (since everyone knows Chinese people LOVE seafood)... Then I find out, even that sh#t has gone to the robots -- god damn live crab vending machines apparently have been popping up all over mainland china.

I've often said that China does capitalism far better than the USA. This is a great example of entrepreneurship that we'd just never think of over here, no matter how much we love crabs or put up with the stink of this machine on a hot day.

(Poor crabbies though. I haz a sad.)

I always wonder about the mentality of a person willing to stand by the side of the road for work and act as a human billboard...

Businesses usually do this in places where placing banners was illegal while holding the banner is not, like in the middle of busy street. I've seen people also do this in front of cruiser docks, where they offer all sort of shit for sale.

Besides, people are likely to notice a moving banner than static one. You can also interact with the person holding the banner for additional info. I don't think it's that crazy.

I am referring to mentality of the person willing hold sign. Not why a Business would do this. I'm more than aware of why business do this. I'm just trying to figure out how they've come to the conclusion their worth in life is the equivalent of being a billboard. How long can one person stand a job like this? Is there ever a breaking point?
