I was trying to run some ads on facebook and ended up paying .52 cents for each click. This was the minimum that was suggested by facebook. My question is, how do you make money on offers that payout $2 to $3. If im paying 50 cent for each click i dont have much leverage to get a lead. I would need to convert in almost every click in order to get return on my revenue.

What is the proper way for affiliates to bid?

What you just described is pretty much the game dude.

CPM/CPC + High CTR = cheap clicks

If you actually tried a few ads, you would see that your CPC goes down depending on how good your CTR is :D

Should i keep the cpc at what facebook suggest or go lower? Im going to run some campaing and do alot of split testing but im trying to find the cheapest way to get clicks. Should i go cpc or cpm?

Im just trying to find out how you make money with clicks costing so much money. Its crazy to pay half a dollar for one click. I tried CPM and was still charged for each click.

This is like asking, "what kind of toilet paper do you use to wipe your ass?" You think that those of us who have wiped our own asses before will have some amazing insight on what toilet paper works best for your ass. But what you really need to do is stop having mommy wipe it for you, go to your local store, and experiment with different brands of toilet paper for yourself.

You pretty much just summed up the entire issue for yourself dude.

"I can't make money on click prices this high".

So what's left is to try to get cheaper clicks, on facebook and elsewhere.

EVen if your bid CPM, youre clicks are going to have a value associated with them.

For example, if you bid $0.30 CPM and have a 0.1% CTR, you will get 1 click for every 1,000 impressions. Therefore, that click costs you $0.30.

get it?
