Facebook Ads Warning

So every ad I've ever had approved on FB was only approved after submitting it 3 times or more, that's nothing new. This goes for perfectly compliant ads and offers. I think all ads are automatically disapproved 3 times before they're even reviewed.

The other day I tried getting some beauty ads through and, after the usual struggle, some were approved. Obviously I made a few variations for the ads, but I had only gotten some approved so far. I set the bids really low for the ones that WERE approved just because I didn't want them running until I had other ads to compare against.

Yesterday I was out all day playing in the ball pit at Discovery Zone so I didn't do anything on Facebook. I had a few ads waiting for disapproval, but according to the times on the emails sent to me from FB, they got approved, then 2 minutes later disapproved.

But then I got this neat special email telling me to stop:

Hi,

We've noticed that you are currently running Facebook Ads that violate our Advertising Guidelines or Terms of Use.

When creating a diet, health or weight loss ad, please note that the ad cannot blah, blah, blah!

Please delete any ads that violate these policies within 48 hours to bring your account into compliance with Facebook policies. Continuing to run ads that violate our policies may result in additional action being taken on your account, including possible termination.

Well they were helpful enough to disapprove all the OTHER ads in the campaign for me, even those that got no impressions or clicks for the day.

Now what? Do I just ignore this and submit twice as many ads? Has anybody ever had an ad account terminated?!

Sincerely,
PERPLEXED IN PENNSYLVANIA

How many different colors did they use in the email?

Just 1, but it was in Comic Sans.

You have obviously never read the Facebook thread.

Hey, I read it...

like a year ago. Plus I can't even find it now, and didn't this forum used to have a PPC section? Or maybe I'm thinking of Digital Point. Psych!

But anyway,

take the ads down. your account will be banned

With the unrelenting sarcasm on this forum I don't know if you're serious but if you are, I appreciate it.

For people who have multiple FB ad accounts, do you go to any trouble to invent fake identities or use different IPs and all that acid jazz or do you just use a different CC and that's all?

Read the other thread, but I can tell you that you in all seriousness that you have a good chance of your account getting banned - permanently. New cc, id, ip, etc won't work. Time to move on.

The only good thing about this thread is the title.

Over 180 views in a couple of hours...

I love the warning headline <3

I'm being 100% serious. My account got banned after I was issued a 24 hour warning.

I would remove all offending campaigns and then for the meantime get a fake glass/mustache combo and lay low.

More time at the discovery zone unwinding, and they will likely forget about you.

Try again with same ads, in 10-14 days. I have head they fire people so often there that if you wait like 10 days anyone who remembered anything about you is gone.

WTF is with the different colors dude?

Yes, I've got some time on my hands. Waiting for the Dallas game to start.

The colours children, look atthe colours!

Yeah, you may wanna delete them. The funny thing about Facebook is that you'll see an add that looks exactly like what they told you you couldn't run running. Keep shooting in the dark and listen for the sound of a body dropping.
