Facebook Isn't Taking My CC

Okay for some unknown reason Facebook won't accept my Visa card. I tried emailing them and I get some useless automated crap. It tells me,

We require you to enter your credit card information so that we have a funding source to charge if your Facebook Ads continue to run after your advertising credits have been fully redeemed.

Please make sure your credit card number and type are correct.

Do I have to select the credit card type anywhere, or can I just enter the number? The reason I ask is one of the form items has pictures of the various accepted credit cards, but absolutely no way to select the one you want. Thanks for the help.

Try adding it through your profile page not through advertising. I forget exactly were it is but thats how I had to do it.

I spent weeks getting the dick around then tried it there and it worked.

I've noticed that there are certain cards it won't take if you're using a pre-paid or debit card.

I've got a Canvascard... Debit card backed by VISA that you can top up online. Doesn't work. $200 Mastercard I get at 7-11, that works. Go figure.
