How you doing. This is my first actual post on the forums.

I wanted to see what kind of ctr people are getting for ringtone offers on facebook. Anything that I attempt that 1) is targeted enough and 2) adheres to their gay and unstable ad policies, sees low impressions and never a ctr above a .11 (I suck i know). When I target less I obviously get higher impressions and a even a suckier ctr. Is anyone actually having success with ringtones on fb? I'm starting to think I should start promoting other offers.

Ringtones are out for the most part, go with a different offer.

I think you're wasting your time with ringtones. ayzo is right, pick another niche.

I recently tried ringtones on facebook and I had a pretty decent ctr but not 1 conversion and cpc was pretty high at .40

Yea that's what I hear in nearly every corner or the web. Ringtones are dead. I'm curious why that is. What exactly made them fall off like that and stop performing so well? (I know the sprint drop is one but that sureley can't be the only reason)

Ringtones aren't dead, your bids are just too ridiculous. Funmobile today is pulling .29 EPC which isn't ideal but it's decent and still profitable. You're probably targeting what you think are specific demos but are actually already saturated on their own, targeting the wrong demos, and/or your ad copy is just shit.

Thanks for the heads up that everyone isn't getting raped in ringtones. My ad copy is fine and my demo is correct but you're right it might be saturated up the ass. It seems like every demo that would convert would already be saturated though, i surely aren't going to promote classical music or anything that young people aren't interested in.

On another note, has anyone seen how non-musical ringtones convert? Something like a "24" ringtone or something. I'm testing it out atm, it would be cool to have something to compare my stats to.

i ran ringtones.net on facebook and got 800 clicks with no leads. Burnt $300.. A lesson to learn not to promote ringtones.

ringtones are finished. The reason they are dead is now sneaky networks dont tell you that NOT ONLY do they say "only $5 million per week" on the landing page, but also in the SMS too! Thanks for telling me that Azoogle (not)!

What kind of moron will agree to spending 10 bucks a week for bullshit ringtones. No one - hence ringtones are now dead.

You could get 800 ringtone clicks on facebook for $40. For $300 you could get around 6000 clicks. Try harder

I just don't see why people would think anyone would click a ringtone ad on faceook. Either use your imagination and lead them to the ringtones, or don't directly advertise them on facebook.

Ha.. I was bidding on $.35 and my CTR was a bit higher.

I do get cheaper clicks, but I need to work on conversions more.

Don't bother dude, you are gonna be faced with scrubs/low conversions/low CTR/high click costs..

That is $0.05 CPC on FB. What CTR do you get?

I sent 600 clicks and got 5 leads. My CTR was around 0.07-0.16 and CPC was $0.25-$0.3. With such stats my campaign wasn't profitable.

I'm running .8 CTR with $0.06 clicks. Just gotta be a baller.

This is just not true. Yes, the glory days of 2002-2004 are over, but there are still people making six figures a month with ringtones. They are just not doing it on Facebook...
