Curious to see if anyone has heard or talked about this on here:

Facebook (since November) has slowly been adding the "star rating" to business Facebook pages.

My Question:

Does anyone know where this is pulling from?

Answer I expect:

I understand that, but how can a company show only 5 reviews and have six ratings? It must be pulling from somewhere else..no?

The review are done on the businesses page. The reason you are seeing more ratings than actual reviews is because you can make them private. They still show up in the total reviews but you can't see the actual review.
 
So there is no way to see the review, or the fact that someone put one there, just the rating?

I was told by a few people that if they put positive reviews on other sites, then it would change the FB rating as well... but i am uncertain that is the case..

Shouldn't the page owner be able to see it?
 
It’s a royal pain in the ass since you can’t respond to reviews. My day job company isn’t exactly the favorite in our industry and we were getting a bunch of BS “reviews” that were really just competitors bitching. I eventually had to change the category from a local business and remove our address to get reviews to go away. You used to be able to reply to them, really lame of FB to take that away.
