Anyone know how closely Fan Page content is checked?

I found if your page contains links to an external site that promotes downloads (games or toolbars, even if they're legit) -- you can't get ads approved. So if I advertise and build up my fans without those external links, then add them after I stop advertising, will F know or care?
 


sooner or later they gonna find out that the fan page is breaking their TOS , then gonna delete it automatically with no notification.
 
Probly right. There's also the "send an update" option -- seems like a good alternative for promoting something. Can't believe they would screen all the Fan Page updates that go out.
 
Doesn't seem worth it to risk breaking their terms and services. If you spend time getting fans then push out external links there's probably a good chance they'll catch on pretty quick.
 
I pushed about 6k fans to a fan page for a few days, this was about 6 months ago.. and tried a few things that never really worked out so I just left it. Well, last week I got an email from fb telling me I violated the TOS bla bla bla so they were deleting the page or something like that.. I could really care less because like I said I wasnt doing anything with it, but I think that should answer your question.

It was a fan page about a movie, pushing a toolbar related to the movie.
