If you're looking for a sleeper going into the playoffs, pick up Tarvaris Jackson. If the Vikings lose this week (which is probable) there's a good chance Farve will be pulled. I've had Tarvaris chilling on my bench for the past 3 weeks waiting for this.

It makes sense to handcuff him to Favre if you have him on your roster, but I doubt that he'll be better than most of the current starting QBs out there.

Yeah I guess I should have mentioned my league is a 2QB league (well 1QB and we have a flex that can be anything).

Maybe I will look like an idiot in a few weeks.....but besides being a handcuff, I really dont see Jackson having much money...even if a 2QB league.

How many teams are in the league? With a flex spot, youve gotta be able to find an RB with more value....

12 teams. Tarvaris is mobile, has an arm, and has been improving since he started off rough in his career. He's also been learning from Farve which can't be a bad thing. Throw in a strong running game and receivers like Percy and (possibly) Rice, and you might have a nice fantasy qb.

Currently I have Cassel in my flex spot and he's been doing a great job of being consistent.

Who is your starting QB?

In leagues that allow a QB in the flex spot, they're generally the best play.

#2 QB > #3 RB most days.

The problem with Vikings players from a Fantasy POV is that as soon as Favre is sent back to the Bayou, they will be focused on getting Chilly fired.

Generally yes, however as with any league it all boils down to specific league stats and settings.

No one can really answer a question on anything to do with fantasy without knowing the points and settings breakdown.

However......Jackson has to prove himself before I will even consider him to be a QB at all. If he has been developing and showing progress..why has he been the water boy for years as they desperately search for another answer?

At this point, it might be time for the Vikings to tank, fire childress, let harvin and rice take the rest of the season off to heal their wounds, let Favre walk away and pout, and hope to pick up Jake Locker in the draft...

I'm much more happy with my pickup of Michael Vick. I'm in a custom league though. Here's my team:

I've never heard of the head coach option before either. Looked around at some other forums and this is how someone else said they had it implemented:

At this scoring setting, it is a waste of a pick to bother drafting one, unless games in your league routinely end up 15-12.

We looked at this option as well, but were looking at the following rules:

1. Starting the COACH in the starting lineup would be optional week to week
2. If the COACH's NFL team wins his game, +10 points for the fantasy team
3. If the COACH's NFL team loses his game, -5 points for the fantasy team
4. double the fantasy points if a coach wins his game in OT.

The reason for the +10/-5 was to make the consideration about whether to draft one or more coaches a real decision, since you might pick up 100 points or so from a Bill Belichick during the course of a season.

With the +2/-2 setting, I wouldn't do anything more than just grab one off of waivers once in a while if I saw a matchup I really liked.
Would add an interesting dimension to overall strategy. I also like the idea above about challenges and fourth down conversions. Could probably add going for 2 into that as well.

I was with you right up until the very end...I just don't see his skill set translating to playing QB at the next level. H-Back or Anquan Boldin II maybe, but not QB.

You very well could be right, I am not quite sure what to expect and I have been wrong before on my college predictions.

However, I think Locker remains the top rated QB entering the draft depending on what teams are looking for.

Of course, at this point it looks like it may just all boil down to whether Luck declares himself eligible for the draft or not.

Any thoughts on Mallet?

The head coach offers points based on a team winning. As the margin of the win increases so does the points. It goes for the same for a loss.

Here's my roster. 12 teams makes it a lot more difficult to get a stacked team. I had a HORRIBLE draft (I was drunk) and have made 44 moves and 11 trades to completely overhaul my team.

For shits and giggles, here was my team on week 1 :

There's not many sleepers left this late in the league, maybe try and get blout low if you have extra wide receivers, and don't have 3 solid RBs.

Why did you trade Manning?

Because my team was in no position to make playoffs. My WRs were awful and I only had 1 real solid RB (Charles). I got MJD, Braylon, and Andre Johnson for Peyton and Davone Bess. I then traded Andre for Boldin and Shaun Hill+Percy for Flacco.

Peyton has done terrible the past couple weeks (I traded him 2 weeks ago) so it worked out perfectly.
