SeoBook Tool--- Aaron Wall has tons of other free tools that rock.

It's free, runs off Wordtracker (which is a paid service), and has a new export to csv option.

Export to Csv is really nice because in a couple clicks I can print keywords and put it together in a notebook with all my other project files. I find I'm much more productive when I take the time to put together a notebook of notes, keywords, copy, etc...

BUT.... remember that your brain is the best keyword tool. The tool won't spit out all related keywords and do 100% of the work for you. You have to think out your keywords beforehand and then use the tool.

For example: "Mortgage" doesn't return "financing" or "leasing"... yet they are essentially the same thing. Understand?

This is probably one of the better blog posts I can think of off the top of my head that explains this in more detail.

Keyword Elite is the coolest

I reckon Keyword Elite is the best, it really can save loads of time, and cuts straight to the chase in terms of generating highly tuned keywords

:)

hi.
Try SeoDigger.com. This is a reverse index of google.
It allows you to input a site URL and it will then show you the keywords that site has that will rank it among the top 20 in Google. It returns quite a few good answers and allows you to see the Wordtracker and Overture results as well.
One of the neat features of this site is that you can sort by the position, wordtracker ranking, overture ranking and also the most recent keyword request.

After you have collected your keyword list with services recommended here you can further expand it them with a ppc keyword tool like Keyword Fusion.

Keyword Fusion can combine keywords for you, e.g. input "red, green, blue/car, boat, plane" and it will create all the different variations that are possible for you.

It also generates domains so for example input "myspace" and it outputs all the different domain variations that users type into the search engines. And that is a powerful strategy, because domain keywords are high converters.
