Finding out searches for "X" domain?

So I plan on buying some domains that are mistypes from the name of my competitor and have them redirect to my site, so for example:

Competitors name: "www.porn.com"
Domain I would buy to redirect to my site: "www.por.com"
(I'm sorry If I am not allowed to use those links, I'm just trying to
use an example, not promote lol)

Is there a tool/website I can use to search for un-registered and
see how many times they get searched? So for example when people are trying to go to porn.com,
and they accidently type in por.com, Is there a way to view how many people do this?

Google keyword tool (exact match)?
I have not tried this myself but I cannot see why this wouldn't work.
Just input your misspellings and then hit "exact match".
Job done.

P.S. Doing this, you would have to search the domains manually. Bit of a bummer. If there is a tool out there that achieves both I would love to hear about it.
