Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the D,D,&P section. Figured I'd throw it up here for more exposure if anyone was interested. (I've been running the beta releases for several years and like having them.)

If you are not a beta tester with Mozilla, you may not know of the newer beta version that is out now.

Download this only if you want to run this newer BETA version. (It won't be released in a final public version until sometime after the 9th of September.)

Here's the English U.S. version site Index of /pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/3.5.3-candidates/build1/win32/en-US

Here's the Parent Directory where you can choose your language version if it's other than English U.S.Index of /pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/3.5.3-candidates/build1/win32

Does it crash as often as 3.5.2?

So far the only glitch I have with it is that I cannot grab the Tab Tree side bar to slide it down. (I have to use the slow poke indexing arrows to cycle through the tabs now. Argh!!)

I've only had it installed for 35 hours now on two of my computers and have not had any crashes yet.

My 3.5.2 started crashing about once every other day after the last update was installed. I was waiting for another update or a beta like this.

Anyone know if Lastpass works with the beta? So freakin tired of ff crashing on me but I can't go anywhere without my Lastpass.

Actually the tree tab is a killer too. Guess I'll wait for public release.

Not sure whatchu talkin about Midas but I've been using this for my tabs https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5890

(thanks to whoever recommended it in another thread =) )

Yes, that's the add-on I'm using.

It's working just FINE on my Win7 machine now somehow. Still acting up on my XP SP3 machine though.

I don't use Last Pass (I'm too paranoid. Lulz), so I couldn't comment on it for you Turbo.

3.5.2 is the biggest piece of shit ever

I had to downgrade.

Yes, 3.5 beta 3 was excellent. It was fast, my add-ons all worked fine, and I never had a crash with that one. Beta 4 was a little buggy, but the final release gave me a new problem with each update. Which is why I went ahead and installed the latest beta in the hopes of those things being solved. But alas, it would seem that they are not.

I just had my first crash/freeze after 47 hours on my Win7 machine. (It locked my system. Actually had to hit the reset button as even the keyboard commands were unresponsive. argh!!) It updated 5 of my add-ons on the browser re-start and now I can no longer drag the side tab bar on this one, AGAIN.

Now, this is what the side of ALL thread's posts looks like in my Fire Fox 3.5.3:

Looks like might just go back to Opera for awhile. Not as convenient, but has been MUCH more stable and still pretty fast for me. (I only use IE8 for MS stuff. It's just too damn slow & seems to be a memory hog.)
