Flash Banner Geo-Location

Hi,

Can anyone help me with this?

I need to have the city of residence dynamically inserted into my flash banners i.e.

Meet women in London etc.

They are going be served as flash on Google content network.

Can anybody please point me in the right direction?

You can possibly connect with a geo database from maxmind.com?
I'm not too up on my Flash tho...

I've had a similar problem in the past. Got the geolocation database from Maxmind, implemented a php script that would give me the city/country and after that I would just output a different banner ad for each location.

It's quite simple to implement this, but remember it's not 100% flawless for various reasons.

Here is some info I saw on the web about passing in parmameters to flash. I've never done flash so I don't know how you should construct the logic of the flash program to act on the information being passed in.

Problem is though - I can't serve html ads, I can only serve a straight up .swf file, so I cant's pass php parms into the flash.
