Florida AG strikes again

hmm pure ads

interesting that azoogle got off with $1m ... definitely puts things into perspective

I love how it says:
In the settlement agreement, ModernAd denied any wrongdoing but said it wanted to resolve the investigation “to avoid the expense and inconvenience of litigation.”

Right, because I would totally pay $2.9 million even when I haven't done anything wrong.

Happens all the time - the state says they are going to call 1,000 witnesses and interview them for a hour each.

1000 hours X $650/hr for a good trial lawyer + lost revenue + all the other bullshit and you're well on your way to that being a break even deal at worst.

When are these idiots going to learn "free" doesnt work anymore, "free - with participation" is the new "free".

They are not hurting at all, I work with them daily, at least $1m+ a month. $2.9M is a drop in the market for the zip/email offers.

These guys thought they were invincible and above the law. Well let's face it, that's not the truth. They let their overinflated ego's get the best of them.

Pace, I respect what you have to say, but there's a lot of stuff going on that I don't believe you're aware of when it comes to ModernAd. I've heard from a source that they might have a big round of lay-offs due to this fine and other outlying circumstances.

It'll be interesting to see how they do now that the playing field is somewhat even.
