Do you know of similar sites / competition?
If so, you might first want to find out what rights they have obtained to be able to stream matches and events. Typically those things are limited by broadcasting rights and such, but it may be that you can obtain a good deal on that somewhere.

Check out also what sort of streaming software best suits your needs. Consider bandwidth and storage limits for your hosting as well.
