Having been member of WF for about a year now, and having made some mistakes that thoroughly angered my friends here in the WF, I thought I would share some of the lessons I have learned about this forum, some the hard way.

Lesson One: Don't take information from here and share it, even if it is free public info here and you are selling it elsewhere.

I took the contents of a contest I did here and sold what I learned through the process as an infoproduct. I wasn't trying to offend, I was trying to make some money and help many of the folks over at that forum who get bombarded with hype and misinformation.

However, in the process, I sincerely offended many of the folks here inadvertently. I genuinely didn't understand the position here that most people had toward WSO's (many of them being junk), and about keeping the info here.

Just don't do that. I offended some guys here who I have a lot of respect for, and I might never get their respect back. I should have known better, and now you do, too.

Bottom line: Keep stuff to yourself, and especially don't just sell info like that for money. If you have something that you can make money with, make money with it and shut up about it. Share it here if you want, but don't plaster it all over the web and get that method saturated. And most definitely don't go making an ebook about it and try to sell it.

Lesson Two: You never know when a dick might show up.

Seriously people, hover over links before clicking them, and stop lurking on the WF at work if you don't want to get yourself in trouble. Nakedness abounds on this forum.

Lesson Three: If you post or do something stupid, expect to get trashed and stop taking it personally.

Don't come here to feel good about yourself. Come here to hang with people who know how to make money and be willing to get criticized if what you are doing is dumb. Expect to get criticized in the special kinds of ways that only WF members can do to you (which usually again involves something penis related).

Lesson Four: Contribute.

I have been a lurker here for too long and have not contributed near as much as I have gained. I know MUCH less than many people here, but I have made a full-time living on the internet for over a year, so I certainly have something to contribute, especially to newer folks (this thread being a start to that).

Lesson Five: If you have an opinion, people are going to disagree with it.

People here love to argue. They don't just back each other on the back. If you post something, someone here will vehemently disagree. Doesn't matter what it is. Use those opportunities to learn and to better hone your own positions and arguments, and again, don't get all uptight about it.

Bottom Line On All Of This: The real world is brutal, and so is Wickedfire. Once you understand that, you can really learn things here and grow that bank account. If you won't be an idiot, people here can be extremely helpful.

Re: lesson one, I think the point is that you are taking information provided by others for free, then profiting from what they have given you at no profit for themselves. Like, someone gives you a birthday gift and then you go sell it to someone else.

Always hover over links and see where they go before clicking... especially while browsing at work haha.
