I've decided to sell my desktop wallpaper site, WallpaperNexus.com. Why am I selling it? Because it is just sitting on my server and I don't have time to spend on it, and I would rather have a little extra money right now to invest in other ventures.
Description:
WallpaperNexus.com is a general desktop wallpaper website, offering 1061 full sized wallpapers. Selections include movies, tv shows, celebrities, sports, and more. I started this site in May 2007, and it slowly started getting search traffic. No advertising at all has been done. The traffic is as follows:
I am not sure what caused the drop in traffic for December - probably a Google update. So far in January WallpaperNexus has generated about 400 uniques. All traffic is organic search results.
The site is using the Coppermine Image Gallery script, a very powerful and feature rich opensource php script.
WallpaperNexus.com is listed in multiple directories, but most importantly it is listed in dmoz.
WPN only uses up to 1gb of bandwidth a month currently.
Revenue:
WallpaperNexus earns a couple of dollars a month from adsense. I have not played around with ad placement or any other forms of advertising, but I am sure a little more money could be made from optimizing the ads.
