I got a couple PMs asking about payment/tax information.

You can enter all of your own information into these accounts as soon as you get them. EPN allows you to change this info whenever you want.

If you are already using another EPN account, and you're looking to scale out, there a few ways to deal with this. The recommended option is to get a EIN (Employer Identification Number) by registering a Sole Proprietorship in the U.S. This gives you a business tax identity completely separate from your SSN. All in all, once you have a Sole Proprietorship, you can get a EIN number from the IRS online in about 10 minutes. They email it to you. Despite the sound of it, this is completely legitimate... one EPN account for you, and one for your business.

SPs can be had for under $100, depending on what state you're in... and the entire process of registering a SP and getting an EIN is quick--maybe a couple days.

There are other quicker and easier (but not as recommended) ways of dealing with multiple EPN accounts, which I can fill you in on as well. Especially for those outside the US, and you don't have a SSN/EIN, theres a couple options you have as well.

I'm glad to help in this area, just shoot me a PM :)

You got a couple of PM's after only 8 views in the thread? Two of which have to be yours and two of which are mine?

I'm in the wrong business.

p.s. - Why exactly would someone pay for a EPN account? Honest question.

Because if you have only one account, and EPN decides for whatever reason that they don't like what you're doing, you can push your secondary EPN account all of a sudden instead of just going broke.

Lots of people have several accounts. It's a "keeping all your eggs in one basket is bad" kind of thing.

jdomaha's answer is a good one.
For those that are serious about making money with the Ebay Partner Network, having multiple accounts is a big advantage. If you can spread yourself thinner, you're protecting your earnings more.

You might ask why you wouldnt just go out and get your own account(s)... well, EPN has been making it harder and harder for people to become affiliates, and the process of getting approved can be frustrating. Approval decisions per application can range from 3 business days to weeks depending on the information you give on your application. Its advantageous for many to just bypass the application trouble and start earning on some accounts.

If you're savvy with the EPN, I don't need to tell how quickly you can begin profiting on purchased accounts.

To cookie stuff.

I had wondered about some of the particulars with multiple EPN accounts.

BTW if this guy isn't competitive enough, I've seen some people bid for EPN accounts on freelancer.
