Why do people do this in PHP <br /> It's a hard question to search for. I don't do that, and my code works fine.

A browser will do 'it's best' to render everything in your HMTL. Even if it's incorrect. '<br />' is what we call 'well formed'. By 'well formed' I mean that any opening tag must be closed. Since 'br' isn't a container tag you close it at the same time you open it. It's the same as you would write an XML or HTML container that is empty. Like this <div /> or <span /> or <input />
'<br>' is sloppy.![]()
Please explain. Its easy to quote folks then make a claim. I'm a reasonable guy. But unless you explain why I'm 'so fucking wrong' then you're just a douchebag. But I mean that in a nice way.
Also, I was just trying to help. Is this your 'move'. Find an easy target and go after them? Matter of fact, that's about all I've seen you do in these forums. Seriously bro. You sound like you know a bunch of stuff. However, rolling this way is going to make everyone ignore you when you do post something constructive.
And are you saying I know nothing about HTML/XML? Just wondering who that was directed at. You really should be more 'informative' in your 'informative posts'.

Jesus christ what a terrible idea. I have a hard enough time explaining to stupid girls what it is I actually do.
"I'm a computer hacker darling"

<br> and <br/> actually produce the same effect, but if you tried to validate your pages you'd know that <br/> is the correct one
