I received this email today from Doba, a drop shipping company that I've done a little bit of promotion for.

About 30% of commerce on the internet is driven by affiliate marketers.

Anyone heard of this guy? The info-marketer line kind of worries me. Do you guys think this will just be a sales pitch/BS meeting, or would it be worth my time as someone who is fairly new with limited experience in this industry?

I'm supposed to be working my day job at that time, but I might try to get out of it and attend if he might teach me a trick or two.
 


I'm pretty sure there's an upsell somewhere (most likely for his bootcamps) but if it's free, I'm sure you can only benefit from it.

What you NEED to look at is the way that Doba reeled your ass in with their "just for doba affiliates" pitch and think of how they're going to be making a nice little chunk of change, and go do the same.

I got this same email from Lexington Law yesterday...deleted it right away...anything that guy would teach you can be found here or around somewhere that you're not in as much danger of getting talked into buying shit. The big secret to making money doing affiliate marketing is to get off your ass and actually do it. Going to seminars, reading forums, etc. aren't going to do jack for you if you don't apply it and put the effort in. Having been an AM at one time, I saw a ton of affiliates that talked a big game and never followed through. Save yourself the time and spend it building or improving a site.
 
yes i know who he is it is a webinar for the online marketer of the year award, if you are new to it then you will learn something otherwise he will just drone on and tell you what you already know.
 
These sorts of people are too damn busy talking at seminars and writing ebooks to actually be doing any sort of the niche marketing that they so like to promote to you as being multi-millionaires in themselves.
They make all their money at these BS events so dont be fooled. If they could make the bigger $$ with their websites then they certainly wouldnt be running those dumb events.
