I was wondering if anyone has used any good free software programs that allow you to submit your site to directories in a faster way.

Any suggestions?

There are tons of software, but it is best to do it manually

Whilst not free as such, you're able to find plenty of the older versions of the automated tools on Rapidshare if you know how to look through it efficiently.

That said, people put in hard time and effort to make these tools, so if you find that you are making money through using them, pay for an updated copy. Gives these guys a reason to make a newer version.

As it is though, directories are pretty garbage these days. They're a shit source of natural traffic, most of them are worthless for PR value, and a lot exist in Google's bad books.

I use the Fill Form addon for directories. Once you set it up, it fills in all the fields with one click. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9286
