I've been toying with the same idea for the past couple months... not an identical clone, but the same concept with a variation on the game involved...

Can you give some more info on what you're thinking?

Same question. If you're purpose is charity, you may as well just market freerice.com. If it's personal gain, are you going to claim it goes to charity?
 
I would highly recommend simple "new" sites that are easy to copy.

The day blackle was posted (i believe here) my buddy created earthle.com, he had it up in running in under 10 hrs I'd estimate.

Since then it has been making him anywhere from $40-$80 a day and what are his costs...$20 bucks a month hosting!

Nothing like a sweet monthly check for doing absolutely nothing!

you can keep a grain of rice from the 20 for yourself. But then, who can eat that much rice ...
 
I figure we do the same kind of thing, but maybe keep 10% of the ad revenue.

It's only an idea based around a domain i have - stoppoverty.net

Haven't paid ALOT of though to it.
