I have two VPS's through Linode, and they are FAR superior to all of the other hosts I've tried. The network is fantastic, many datacenters to choose from, they randomly decided to give everyone extra RAM on their 7th birthday, and their control panel is rock solid and easy as hell.

These guys are pure geek but great businessmen. I fully endorse them. See if you can get $100 out of them.

Hasn't linode gone down like 4 times in the last couple of months?

Not that much in Dallas... Been in Dallas for 2 years.

Dallas needed a 20 minute downtime about 2 weeks ago... killed my uptime of 200 days. I got spoiled... so at that point, I moved a site to Fremont as it's too valuable to have even 20 minutes of downtime. Had a perfectly smooth transition and will eventually build full redundancy between the centers.

Not sure about the rest of them.

layered links is hosted in fremont, ca, it's gone down 3 times in the last month. As much as that irritates me, I still love linode, they're fast as fuck and really cheap
