hi everyone,
I have been promoting one free trial offer and it has been breaking even. The offer's free trial is ending and its now going to be Per Sale Commission. Since most of u older guys must have gone through this transition many times, would like to know how has it been?
Do sales conversions and free trial conversions vary a lot? Or should i keep going as long as it is breaking even?

Why are you promoting when it is only breaking even? How do you think can make money when it becomes Pay per sale? normally ROI goes down if a offer goes from free trial to pay per sale. to what %, no one can tell, test it.

you can try locating same product with other network. Else, rethink over your business model.

i get 5% points for every $ spent from my card co. that i can use to buy a lot of stuff :)

on a serious note: i have moved towards more of SEO and less of PPC for that offer.....really donno how the guys with ppc r managing to profit with $4 clicks. Even after spending $1000 with 8-10 QS, no major changes in CPC.

Breaking even in terms of,
$ = time spent doing SEO.
Will have to see how much fall in %age of conversions happens.

Keep the advice coming

I only do sales, laser target your traffic like you should be doing, and build nice landing pages with decent content, you should be ok.

It will only go up. People associate "free" with scams, plus anything that's given away for free can't be worth all that much. Once they see its $50, you can expect your conversions to double or triple.

Theyre completely different games. I personally haven't even had success with free trials yet, only sales. If you're new I think it's best to stay to sales and not dip your feet in the rebill world until you know what you're doing. The competition will eat you and you'll burn through all of your cash.

Yep. In many markets free trials are viewed as sketchy. On the other hand, the higher your price tag the more legit your business seems. If you can charge $150 or even $200 instead, your conversions will likely double or triple again.

could be worth testing if you have the guts and enough money to blow
